On May 1, 2019, PEBP was informed we were selected from nominations nationwide as winner of a top-ranking award from the 17th annual American Business Awards. PEBP received a Gold Stevie Award for Organization of the Year – Non-Profit or Government – Large for a second year in a row. We are proud of the recognition and are excited to showcase Nevada again as a national leader in organizational accomplishments across both the public and private sector.

PEBP is proud to announce it is the first public sector health program nationwide to receive Core accreditation from URAC. URAC is the independent leader in promoting healthcare quality through accreditation, certification and measurement. By achieving this status, PEBP demonstrates it has met rigorous standards in quality and accountability in areas such as Regulatory Compliance, Quality Management, Consumer Protection and Empowerment, Information Management, and Health Care System Coordination.

State and local employees, retirees, and their dependents should feel proud and reassured knowing their health program has successfully shown it meets a higher national standard of healthcare. We are excited to blaze the trail for other public sector programs.

PEBP received a Gold Stevie Award for Organization of the Year – Non-Profit or Government – Large and a Silver Stevie Award for Most Innovative Company of the Year – Up to 100 Employees. PEBP is excited to share that we have received an award from the State and Local Government Benefits Association (SALGBA) for innovation! Every year SALGBA challenges benefit programs
to submit successes to be recognized, acknowledged, and utilized as a best practice by other public sector entities. Last year, with the help of our third-party administrators HealthSCOPE and Express Scripts Inc., we implemented a new program to help members with chronic disease receive critical drug infusions from high quality, low cost providers throughout Nevada. PEBP applied (along with 32 other entities) for the award in January 2017 and won first place at the SALGBA Annual National Conference in May 2017.
