Submit Public Comment to PEBP Board

Please submit your public comment using the Secure Public Comment Form on our Contact Us page under Submit Public Comment to PEBP Board. Public comment must be received no less than 48 hours before a scheduled board meeting. Comments received too close to the board meeting will not have time to be reviewed by board members.

New Hire Orientation

Tuesday, April 2, 10:00am-11:00am
Employee action is required! Focus on completing the new hire event in the E-PEBP portal and discuss plan benefits and offerings. Don’t wait until you are sick or in crisis to learn about and access your health insurance. Take advantage of preventive and wellness benefits designed to help you live your best life. Pre-Medicare Informational Session

Tuesday, April 9, 10:00am - 11:00am
For those who are retired and approaching age 65 or those who are retiring after age 65, this meeting will break down the transition of moving to the Medicare Exchange with Via Benefits into five manageable steps. Active employees over age 65 are not required to enroll in Medicare until 60-90 days before retirement and will not experience a penalty as PEBP coverage is Credible Coverage. Hinge Health Virtual Event: Mental Health & Movement

Agency Reps Session

Tuesday, April 16, 10:00am - 11:00am
Agency representatives (ARs) are the bridge that connects employees to their benefits offered through the State of Nevada and provide an integral role for coordinating, cooperating and dialogue between agencies. The PEBP AR Portal is the secure online platform for ARs to conveniently submit employee information for their health insurance benefits. This session is designed to train those new to the PEBP AR Portal, and for those who are already familiar with the portal, this is an opportunity to bring questions to a PEBP representative. Plan Year 2025 Open Enrollment Meeting: Participants Enrolled in Medicare on the Exchange with Via Benefits

Tuesday, April 30, 10:00am – 11:00am
Plan Year 2025 open enrollment (OE) is May 1st - May 31st with any changes effective on July 1, 2024. This meeting is tailored specifically to Medicare retirees. Retirees and their eligible spouses enrolled in a medical plan through Via Benefits have the option to enroll in PEBP dental coverage. Plan Year 2025 open enrollment (OE) is May 1st - May 31st with any changes effective on July 1, 2024. This meeting is for PEBP participants enrolled in the Consumer Driven Health Plan (PPO), Low Deductible Plan (PPO), Exclusive Provider Organization Plan (EPO), and Health Plan of Nevada (HMO). Open enrollment meetings cover premium rates, plan design, and features for the upcoming plan year. Register for this event and join us on Zoom, or in person at the PEBP Board Room.

May 2024 Calendar of Events

Plan Year 2025 Open Enrollment: May 1st through 31st

All changes are effective on July 1, 2024
PLEASE NOTE: You are NOT required to complete an open enrollment election if you want to remain on the same plan and coverage tier. Once you have completed your open enrollment event in your E-PEBP portal, opening it again can cancel changes you've previously made. Please ensure each time you access the open enrollment event you move all the way to the end and get the GREEN checkmark that shows you've completed the event.

Coverage Tiers:
• Participant Only
• Participant + Spouse
• Participant + Child(ren)
• Participant + Family

Allowable Changes:
• Change plan option
• Add or remove dependent(s)
• Switch form the CDHP HRA to the CDHP HSA (if eligible) or vice versa
• Elect or decline voluntary benefits
• Decline coverage
• Change employee HSA contribution (anytime)
• Beneficiary designation (anytime)


Participants making changes to their coverage are required to complete their enrollment and submit any required documents through their E-PEBP Portal within the specified open enrollment timeframe. If the online event, including submitting any required supporting documents, is not completed within the specific timeframe, the request will not be accepted and the change cannot be made until the subsequent open enrollment period, or the occurrence of a qualifying life event. Open enrollment elections must be completed by May 31st. Supporting documents must be submitted no later than June 15th.

For Plan Year 2025, if you’re enrolled in the Consumer Driven Health Plan (CDHP) you have either a Health Savings Account (HSA) or a Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA). Additionally, State active employees enrolled in the Low Deductible Plan (LD), Exclusive Provider Organization Plan (EPO) and Health Plan of Nevada (HPN) have HRA funds. Register for the event that coincides with the type of spending account you’re enrolled in and join us to learn more.
